Secures Another $2M in R&D Contracts
Santa Monica, CA – October 9, 2003 – Intelligent Systems Technology, Inc. (ISTI)

announced that it was awarded another $2 million in multiple research and development
contracts. Recently, the company secured over $2.3 million in contracts for the development
of e-learning and performance support technologies. The new awards further solidify the
company's position as a leading provider of innovative technologies for workforce readiness.
Chairman and CEO of ISTI, Dr. Azad Madni, credits ISTI's
innovative combination of entertainment and training technologies for the company's repeated

The most recent projects are sponsored by the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and the Defense
Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The contracts involve the design and development
of technologies that will greatly enhance troop performance in military operations both at
home and abroad. The core technologies include: a context-sensitive search engine, a next
generation unifying architecture for intelligent agents, dynamic context management for
network-centric operations, and a framework for identity and credential management in distributed
enterprises.
